What’s been happening:

Hi Folks, After leaving Penn State in the winter of 1960, I moved to Columbus, OH and got a Master of Science in March 1961. While I was a student at Ohio State I married Patricia Lee Andrews on Sept. 3, 1960 in Latrobe, PA. My thesis was on the Mexican Bean Beetle and host plant selection. Turns out they are attracted to sugar content in bean leaves. I landed a job with Extermital Termite Company in late May of 1961 in Columbus Ohio. I started inspecting houses for termites. It was interesting work and I discovered by accident that the son of the owner of the company set up his own company and was stealing his Father's clients! Shortly after that my life changed dramatically. Our first child Lisa was born on August 17, 1961 and the next day I received a telegram asking me to consider a job with the United States Dept. of Agriculture, Agriculture Research Service at Tifton, Georgia. I still have the telegram. Our second child Bob, Jr. was born in Tifton, GA in 1962. In 1966 we moved to Indiana and I got my Phd at Purdue in 1970. We transferred to State College, PA in 1970 and I worked at the U. S. Pasture Research Lab here until my retirement in 2001. Lisa still lives with us, Bob lives two miles away. He is married with a son, Ryan age 14 and a step-daughter Alicia age 29 who is married and has a son Taylor age 2. I love retirement. Go LIONS!
